why sensationalism?????

i was just turning over the pages of a national daily a few days ago when i came across a report which grabbed my attention immediately and then i started pondering over it....it goes like dis....

"Remember Fake IPL Player (FIP), the anonymous blogger who took the cricketing world by storm last year with his inside gossip about the players at the Indian Premier League (IPL) in South Africa? The gossipmonger has struck gold. End of February, he will release his first book, The Gamechangers, published by Harper Collins, India.

On fakeiplplayer.com, FIP says he owes the book deal to the success of his blog. “If it wasn’t for the blog, the publishers wouldn’t have thought of me as anything more than a horse’s ass.” While the blogger’s identity remains a secret from fans and cricketers, the one person who actually met him is publisher VK Karthika and she is not letting the secret out. Talking to HT City from Jaipur, Karthika said, “We signed him last September.

I did meet him, but most of the interaction was done via email. This will be a book without an author photograph, since it is not important for us to know the real name of the author; the blog is his identity.” Refusing to divulge details about how much FIP was paid for the deal, she said, “It’s a mass market novel that will talk about what goes on behind the scene at the IPL.”

Interestingly, the plot of The Gamechangers echoes the events of last year’s IPL and involves a quest to unmask a gossiping blogger. For now, though, there’s no unmasking in real life. “I don’t know about ‘ever’, but at the moment I’m happy in anonymity,”

so it seems that this guy has struck himself a fortune.but does he deserve this??many would be of opinion that he did a great job in bashing out the kkr and its celebrity owner Mr. Khan.and adding all those juicy ,behind the curtain details of the ipl franchisee kkr, it was a perfect entertaining form of writing.but my opinion is different on this.what was there in those blogs that people enjoyed so much?i pondered a lot on this.well i couldnt get a specific reason for the kind of popularity fake ipl player, oftenly called as fip in short, enjoyed.i cant deny that he had huge following of readers peaking at 1,50,000 spending almost 37000 hours of time spent on its blog.so he had really captured alot of minds.

but how???

just by lambasting some people. i happened to read his interview recently and all i could make of it is that he self contradicts himself.he always puts a disclaimer saying all this is fictious.bt then he talks about akash chopra and sanjay baangar as if he knows them personally.also he says that he happens to be an avid cricket fan but then he paints a picture of himself as if he is deeply involved with kkr.he goes to S.A.he talks about ppl in kkr.

but then he lambasts his own team.what kind of person does that..has anyone given a thought that he is a person who just seeks crappy publicity just by commenting on things which are themselves obvious.what does he get in blasting renowed players and members of his team calling them stupid names.

if he is so much pissed off with kkr then why dont he just reveal himself and disclose everything.bt his words reflect hunger for publicity by sensationalising the things.for his upcoming book "GAMECHANGERS" he use such sensational words saying that he is going to put up those things in the book that he couldnt in his blog bt then how much difference is there in the book than his blog.he anyways reveal so much on his blog then why not everything on his blog...well then how would he gain??coz he doesnt get anything for his blogs but he is surely getting a lot for his book.so he is going to write all sort of non sense things in his book mocking many people.

so i think that he is just a guy seeking publicity.and his words are not to be paid much attention.afterall he is surely a horse's ass.
